Orange Julius

I LOVE Orange Julius'! The first time I ever tasted this delectable drink was on my 18th birthday. My roommate Keli made me breakfast. French toast and an Orange Julius and I've been craving it ever since. It's easy, quick, and cheap to make. Enjoy!

6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
1 C. Milk
1 C. Water
1/2 C. Sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
8-9 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend together in Blender for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.

* I've read that if you add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and 1/4 cup of normal sugar it makes it even creamier. Yum!

Sea Salt and Caramel Hot Chocolate

Sounds gross, doesn't it? But once you try it you won't BELIEVE how good it is! It's like a frosty and fries, seems like a bad idea at first, but once you try it you never go back! I crave it all the time now. STARBUCKS makes it wonderfully, but the cheap college student in me made me go searching for a recipe so that I could enjoy this deliciousness out of my own kitchen. It's that good!

Boiling eggs

I usually have a hard time getting eggs boiled perfectly until I found this article courtesy of Food Network.

First off a hint: Do NOT put salt in the water. Let it boil naturally, salt is what causes the green ring around the yolk of the egg.

Soft Eggs-  Bring a pot of water over high heat. reduce the heat to low, then add your eggs and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Drain, cool in ice water and peel.

Medium Eggs-  Bring a pot of water over high heat. reduce the heat to low, then add your eggs and cook 6 to 8 minutes. Drain, cool in ice water and peel.

Hard eggs- Place your eggs in a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, then cover, remove from the heat, and set aside 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, cool in ice water and peel.

Chocolate Cream Pie- Dessert in 10 minutes!

Beat 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/3 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until fluffy. Spread in a chocolate cookie crust. Beat 1 cup heavy cream with 2 tablespoons sugar until soft peaks form, then spread over the cream cheese layer. Top with shaved chocolate.

The Skinny

I created this blog because, well, I'm bored. But I'm sincerely hoping it won't be a horrendously boring blog. I'm not entirely sure what will be posted on this, but I'm thinking recipes, crafts, and hopefully exciting pictures! Fingers crossed everybody.
